Before obtaining a state license to operate as a marijuana cultivator, processor, provisioning center or chemical testing facility, the Michigan Medical Marijuana Facilities Licensing Act (MMFLA) and Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana Act (MRTMA) requires that the municipality, city, township, or county, in which the licensee chooses to operate enacts a facilities licensing ordinance.
