Attorney Mallory Nissu

Mallory Nissu is an Associate Attorney with the Cannabis Legal Group. Mallory is a licensed attorney with experience in business law, real estate law, and regulatory compliance. Mallory focuses on the acquisition, sale, and leasing of real property, general corporate transactions, entity formation, and Michigan’s medical and adult-use licensing. 

A young yet driven attorney, Mallory started out as a Law Clerk with us in February 2021, where she assisted on various licensing and municipal projects for our clients. Prior to graduating law school in May 2021, Mallory practiced as a Student Attorney and handled her own cases from start to finish for the Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic. Mallory works to understand her client’s goals and solve complex issues in highly regulated fields.

Additionally, she has experience drafting wills and other end-of-life legal documents for clients. Mallory also filled out applications for clients to the city of Detroit.

Mallory has experience in the following areas:

• Performing due diligence in real estate and corporate matters;
• Drafting and negotiating letters of intent and purchase agreements;
• Drafting and negotiating lease agreements;
• Reviewing and resolving title issues; and
• Preparing promissory notes and mortgages.

Mallory Nissu earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from Wayne State University, graduating magna cum laude a year early. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Wayne State University Law School, where she was a member of Women’s Law Caucus and the Entrepreneurship and Business Law Society.
